Pro Wrestling Moves of CM Punk

Singature moves of CM Punk

Arm wrench - AKA arm bar
In this Pro Wrestling move Punk grabs his opponent's arm and twists it, adding pressure on the shoulder and elbow. CM Punk follows this move by stepping his leg over the wrenched arm of his rival then adding a mule kick.

Diving crossbody
To perform this move CM Punk jumps from the top of the ropes onto his challenger, landing horizontally across the challenger's body, forcing him to the mat. Punk can also do this in reverse by facing away from the challenger executing the crossbody maneuver.

Double underhook backbreaker
An attacking move where Punk stands facing a bent over opponent and hooks his arms. Then he lifts the opponent for a tiger driver. As his opponents drops Punk raises a knee and brings the opponent down horizontally so his back collides with Punk's knee.

Jumping hammerlock twisted into a short–range lariat
To do a hammerlock Punk jumps on his rival's arm and pulls it around behind the rival's back. This stretches the pectorals and shoulder joint, and makes it impossible for the opponent to move his arm. But that is not enough for Punk, the finishes with a lariat. Punk wraps his arm around the upper chest or neck of his rival and forces him to the mat. The rival is now immobilaized and under Punk's control.

One–handed bulldog
This Pro Wrestling move is more of a facebuster than an actual bulldog. Punk runs up from behind his rival, grabs him by the head with one hand, and leaps forward to slam the rival's face into the mat.

Rope hung arm trap can opener
A can opener is referred to ask kubi-hishigi in Judo. This is a hyperflexing neck crank that can be applied from the opponent's guard or from a mounted position. To do this as a wrestling move Punk grabs his challenger's head using both hands and forces it downward toward the challenger's chest. Punk hangs is rival from to ropes to increase the effectiveness and pain - and to force the opponent to submit.

Shining wizard
Punk delivers this move to a standing opponent in a corner of the ring. After stepping off the opponent's raised knee with one foot, CM Punk swings his other leg and strikes the opponent's head with either the side of his knee or his shin. Punk follows this by catching the opponent's head to perform a running bulldog.

Slingshot somersault senton
A slingshot involves a wrestler, who is standing on the ring apron, pulling on the top rope and using its momentum to hurl over the ropes and into the ring. Pro Wrestlers use this move to gain momentum and jump over a rival while falling backwards to land back-first on the rival. Punk takes this move to a new level by jumping forward performing a somersault to land back-first on the opponent.

Snap scoop powerslam
To perform this move Punk puts one arm between an opponent's legs, and reaches over the shoulder with the other arm and then spins the opponent over onto his back. The opponent stays horizontal at all times. As the opponent slams toward the mat Punk will continue to fall face-down on top of him in a lateral press pinning position. Punk uses this move on a charging challenger using that momentum to power the toss.

Spinning wheel kick
Punk rolls toward towards a standing opponent, extending a leg which connects with the back, chest, or head of the opponent.

Springboard clothesline
In this high flying move Punk uses the ring ropes to bounce upward. As he propels forward he extends his arm out his side parallel to the ground and his his rival in the neck or chest, knocking him down.

Step–up enzuigiri
The term Enzui is the Japanese word for medulla oblongata means "to chop". Thus, an enzuigiri is any attack that strikes the back of the head. This Pro Wrestling move is used by wrestlers who have a martial arts background , like CM Pumk.

Suicide dive
This move happens when a Wrestler jumps the ropes to the outside and performs a front flip in the process.


Finishing moves of CM Punk

Anaconda Vice
Punk learned this move while practicing Brazilian Ju-Jitsu and Judo. The vice is done from a position in whicj Punk and his rival are seated on the mat facing each other. Punk sits on one side of hisopponent and using his near arm encircles the opponent in a headlock position and grabs the opponent's near wrist, bending the arm upwards. Then, Punk maneuvers his other arm through the "hole" created by the opponent's bent wrist, locks hand on his own wrist, and then pulls the opponent forward, causing major pressure on the opponent's arm and neck.

GTS – Go To Sleep
This move is a fireman's carry dropped into a knee strike to the face.
