Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson The Most Electrifying Man in Pro Wrestling

Dwayne Johnson, now an A-list movie star, started his professional career in the entertainment business as The Rock with the WWE. Dwayne was a college football player and when he failed to go pro he started to train to be a professional wrestler. Dwayne is from a dynasty of pro wrestlers; he was the first third-generation superstar in the history of pro wrestling and comes from a family that is well known for a steady supply of pro wrestlers including Jimmy Snuka, Tamina, Umaga, Rikishi and the Uso brothers. His grandfather, Peter Maivia, and his father, Rocky Johnson, were both pro wrestlers. With such tremendous wrestling heritage expectations were huge from this talented and charismatic wrestler and The Rock went on to scale all the heights of success in the WWE and can easily break into the top 10 list of greatest wrestlers of all time in virtually anyone’s list. Dwayne Johnson started his career as Rocky Maivia in the WWE and initially wasn’t a huge success until he joined, and later controlled, the stable Nation of Domination. After just two years with the company he became a World Champion, at that time the youngest World Champion in the history of the WWE. With his unmatchable skills in the ring, added to his charismatic promos and interviews, The Rock became the most electrifying man in the WWE, feuding with every top star. His feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin remains one of the most legendary in the history of pro wrestling. From 1996-2004 The Rock achieved everything he could in the WWE, becoming a World Champion nine times. Apart from that he held the Intercontinental Championship twice and the Tag Team Championship five Times. He even won a Slammy Award, 2000 Royal Rumble and was the Sixth Triple Crown Champion in the history of WWE. Winning all kinds of other accolades from the wrestling industry like Wrestler of the Year and a couple of Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame inductions, he is certain to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame one day. Additionally, he is the biggest-cross over star in the history of Pro Wrestling, perhaps even bigger then Hulk Hogan. Dwayne has starred in several Hollywood Blockbusters like The Scorpion King (debut movie), The Rundown, Be Cool, Get Smart, The Game Plan, Faster and many others. The Rock remains a heavily sought actor in Hollywood and is always willing to make appearances for WWE where his legacy as the face of the Attitude Era along with Stone Cold will forever be stuff of legends.
