Undertaker Update – will Kane take down the ‘Taker?

Four months ago The Undertaker disappeared and was rumored to be dead. He was found alive but in a vegetative state suffering injuries caused by his own brother, Kane. It appears that Kane plans to take-down his brother one match at a time.

In a quest to exact revenge on pro wrestlers he claimed to have injured his brother, Kane won his first World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank, defeating Rey Mysterio.

The Deadman returned at SummerSlam to confront Kane and Mysterio, and he was welcomed by a tombstone piledriver from Kane. This confirmed for most pro wrestling fans that Kane was behind the last brutal attack on his brother.

Since then the brothers have continued their brawl. They have faced off at Night of Champions and Hell in a Cell. Kane has been victorious both times. 'Taker even brought back his old manager, Paul Bearer, to help him turn around his losses. However, Bearer betrayed him and helped Kane retain the title at Hell in a Cell. Paul Bearer distracted ‘Taker for long enough to allow Nexus to jump in and help Kane. The final physical and metaphorical blow was delivered with Bearer’s infamous urn.

The question on many wrestling fans' minds is: What does the future hold for The Undertaker?

For the foreseeable future, he is out of commission due to injury. His latest recovery will take the remainder of 2010, and possibly the first part of 2011. Unfortunately, his status for WrestleMania XXVII is uncertain.

Pro wrestling rumor is that Undertaker will retire next year. After 20 years in the ring the Deadman will leave with his head high with eight world championships and his unsurpassed18-0 WrestleMania winning streak.
